Welcome !

In Scouting, a boy is encouraged to educate himself instead of being instructed. ~ Robert Baden-Powell

Boy Scout Troop 130 is a committed group of Scouts and Scouters, boy-led and organized to maximize the scouting experience with a solid, well-rounded program of outdoor adventures, Scouting advancement, and community service. The unit was formed in January 1958 and has been going strong for over 50 years. We've produced over 100 Eagle Scouts, with many more travling the Scouting Trail.

Troop 130 is an active troop, with many fun activities happening every month. From camping in the Rockies to hanging U.S. flags on national holidays, from canoeing the Colorado River to helping in our neighborhood food bank, from hiking Philmont to participating in Easter Sunrise at Red Rocks - our troop stays active in the scouting program and in our community.

Year 'round, our troop is always on the go! Want to join in on the fun? Contact Us for more information! You can find a copy of our Activities Calendar here.

Time is running out for registratrion and we need a minimum of 6 boys to pull off this event! Sign up now!

Troop 130 has been invited to participate in the 2014 Broomfield Camporee at Carter Lake. This event features great activities hosted by Troops, fantastic training from several support agencies like the American Red Cross, Broomfield Search and Rescue Post, and Broomfield Squadron Civil Air Patrol, plus others. There will be a CAP plane flying overhead signaling the Search and Rescue groups, Superior Emergency Preparedness Training by the American Red Cross, an outstanding campfire program with awards, and a Community Service project for the Park. We’ve added a HAMM Radio Club to the mix, and we will also have a night orienteering course for those brave souls. This event has become so popular that our event patches are now collector items.

Posted on Apr 3 2014 - 6:39am

Hi, my name is Will D. A few scouts and I have been planning the court of honor for our next meeting on April 7, 2014. It is at the First United Methodist Church (where we usually meet), and starts at 6:45, but I would like it if you came at 6:30 to help set up. After the court of honor we will be having dessert (dessert not desert), I would like each family attending to bring a dessert. P.S. I like chocolate chip cookies.
