Boy Scout Troop 130 is a committed group of Scouts and Scouters, boy-led and organized to maximize the scouting experience with a solid, well-rounded program of outdoor adventures, Scouting advancement, and community service. The unit was formed in January 1958 and has been going strong for over 50 years. We've produced over 100 Eagle Scouts, with many more travling the Scouting Trail.

Troop 130 is an active troop, with many fun activities happening every month. From camping in the Rockies to hanging U.S. flags on national holidays, from canoeing the Colorado River to helping in our neighborhood food bank, from hiking Philmont to participating in Easter Sunrise at Red Rocks - our troop stays active in the scouting program and in our community.

Flag Project: Flag Day

Registration is now open to sign up to participate and put out and retrieve Kiwanis flags.  We have 11 routes for this event.  Pick up is on Friday, June 12 between 6 and 7 p.  Take down is Monday and all flags must be back at the Kiwanis shed between 6 and 7 pm. 

Johnny Srsich Eagle Project - May 15 & 16, 2015

Come one, come all! Help Johnny Srsich with his Eagle Project on Friday May 15th at the Golden Kiwanis Flag Building storage facility near the Golden Community Gardens (1506 8th St, Golden, CO 80401). Johnny has scheduled to maintain and/or replace the over 150 American Flags that are displayed at homes and throughout the community every year as part of the Flag Project. The project starts at 4:00pm on Friday and will continue Saturday morning, starting at 9:00 for as long as needed to accomplish.

Court of Honor and Climbing

Join Troop 130 as we celebrate the accomplishments of our scouts and scouters. This Court of Honor will be held at Colorado Adventure Point! We are the first troop to use this brand new faclitaty for a Court of Honor and we hope to make the best of it!

Memorial Day Service at Historic Rockland Church and Cemetery

Troop 130 has been asked to perform a Color Guard presentation at the end of Rockland Church's memorial service prior to placement of flags and flowers on graves. We need scouts from the Troop and Crew to help out with this service! Details inside...

2015 Golden Postal Carriers Food Drive!

Please come and lend a hand - 1 hour, 2 hours, - whatever time you can give is appreciated.

Volunteers are needed from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the Christian Action Guild at 1401 Ford Street.  For safety reasons, volunteers need to be at least 12 years old.

Trail to First Class Campout Moved to May 1-3, 2015

The Trail to First Class Campout has been moved to May 1-3 due to scheduling conflicts. The website has been updated.

This event is to help knock off requirements for Tenderfoot, 2nd Class, and 1st Class, and to give new/inexperienced scouts a taste of what it's like to camp with Troop 130!
