Boy Scout Troop 130 is a committed group of Scouts and Scouters, boy-led and organized to maximize the scouting experience with a solid, well-rounded program of outdoor adventures, Scouting advancement, and community service. The unit was formed in January 1958 and has been going strong for over 50 years. We've produced over 100 Eagle Scouts, with many more travling the Scouting Trail.

Troop 130 is an active troop, with many fun activities happening every month. From camping in the Rockies to hanging U.S. flags on national holidays, from canoeing the Colorado River to helping in our neighborhood food bank, from hiking Philmont to participating in Easter Sunrise at Red Rocks - our troop stays active in the scouting program and in our community.

Crew 130 - Snow-Snake Rendezvous

Registration is now open for the Annual Venturing Snow Snake Rendezvous at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch. The theme for the 2017 Snow Snake is:

A Luau!

The event will take place at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch, January 5, 2018 - January 7, 2018. The nights are filled with board games, movies, bonding, and surprises. The days are filled with fun activities that Ventures can take place in. Shooting, awesome training's, scavenger hunts, cooked meals, and healthy competition are some of these events! Snow Snake is an awesome place to get to know other crews and Venturers in the Denver Area Council. It also will give you a chance to learn about some of the things going on in the council. Sleeping accommodations and meals will be provided, with the exception of the Dutch oven cook-off. So get ready to have a fun-filled weekend with some close friends.

The Chillin and Grillin campout is just 2 weeks away! We will be at Tahosa and we have a lodge if the weather is uncomfortable. This year, we have a spinner with 5 different ingredients to decide what your menu will be. There have been great foods in the past and we can't wait to see what comes next!

Veteran's Day Flags

Please sign up for Veteran's Day Flags service project!  This is your last chance this year to earn service hours and put some money in your scout's account from this long tradition.  Flags will be picked up from the Kiwanis shed on Thursday Nov. 9th, scouts will set out flags on Fri Nov. 10th and then flags will be picked up from their routes and returned on Sun Nov. 12th.  There is a campout that weekend so even if you can only do one route in or out, sign up!  We will need all hands on deck for the final flags of the year.

Blast Car Races (September 29th)

Look for information about purchasing your blast car to come out and Race at the meetings in September!  The meetings in September we will also be talking about how to make your car. There will be tips and tricks discussed.

Funeral Services for Helen Bator (Joe Bator's mom)

The funeral services for Helen Bator will be held Friday September 1 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (969 Ulysses St. Golden) at 10AM.  

Labor Day Kiwanis Flags

the Kiwanis Labor Day Flags is quickly approaching!  Please sign up for a route putting out/taking in flags for this event!  Your scout will earn service hours AND money for her/his account.  It's a great way to spend some QT with your kid/parent!  We will miss you if you're not there!
