Scouts, BSA Troops 130 are a committed group of Scouts and Scouters, youth-led and organized to maximize the scouting experience with a solid, well-rounded program of outdoor adventures, Scouting advancement, and community service. The unit was formed in January 1958 and has been going strong for over 50 years. We've produced over 100 Eagle Scouts, with many more travling the Scouting Trail. Troop 130 Girls was establish d on February 1, 2019 and is going strong!

Troop 130 is an active troop, with many fun activities happening every month. From camping in the Rockies to hanging U.S. flags on national holidays, from canoeing the Colorado River to helping in our neighborhood food bank, from hiking Philmont to participating in Easter Sunrise at Red Rocks - our troop stays active in the scouting program and in our community.

Basecamp with Options Campout - August 9-11

The mountains are calling one last time before you have to go back to school. Come explore some combination of Mt. Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln and Bross with us! We will be camping in the Horseshoe Campground (https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/psicc/recarea/?recid=12836) near Fairplan. We have 3 sites reserved for a maximum of 24 people, so sign up before it is too late.

Canoeing at Lake Dillon - July 12-14

Spend the weekend exploring the Dillon Reservoir, in a canoe! Dillon Reservoir, often referred to as Lake Dillon, is 3,233 acres of water with 26.8 miles of shoreline, Dillon Reservoir is an ideal spot for fishing, boating, and sailing. The reservoir supports a healthy population of rainbow trout and brown trout.

Calling all Mothers!  Please join us for Mother's Day breakfast, cooked by your scout(s) on the Odom Farm at 9:00 a.m. Sunday!  RSVP / Sign-up on the website by midnight on Thursday, May 9th so we can plan food accordingly.  Cost $0.00  Even delicious at twice this price!

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT @ Bighorn) Registration is OPEN!

NYLT Training Registration is open!  Is your scout 13 or older? Could they use some tools in their toolbox to help them lead?  This is a great training that is offered by the Denver Area Council.  Troop 130 is LUCKY to have 2 SPL's this year (Will Dietz Week 3 & Brian Simpson Week 5).  If you have any questions about NYLT and if your Scout should attend please talk with Mr. Graf!

Wood Badge Breakfast

The Troop/Crew has been asked to host the Wood Badge Breakfast for Spring 2019!  Breakfast is March 9, and we will be doing a lock-in at the church Friday night in order to be up and prepared for serving breakfast early on Saturday morning.  This will be a fundraising opportunity for the troop, as well as your individual scout accounts.

ILST/ILSC Campout

Since we have quite a few lock-in's coming up with the troop/crew a campout was chosen for the ILST (Introduction to leadership skills for troops) training.
