Boy Scout Troop 130 is a committed group of Scouts and Scouters, boy-led and organized to maximize the scouting experience with a solid, well-rounded program of outdoor adventures, Scouting advancement, and community service. The unit was formed in January 1958 and has been going strong for over 50 years. We've produced over 100 Eagle Scouts, with many more travling the Scouting Trail.

Troop 130 is an active troop, with many fun activities happening every month. From camping in the Rockies to hanging U.S. flags on national holidays, from canoeing the Colorado River to helping in our neighborhood food bank, from hiking Philmont to participating in Easter Sunrise at Red Rocks - our troop stays active in the scouting program and in our community.

Wood Badge Breakfast

The Troop/Crew has been asked to host the Wood Badge Breakfast for Spring 2019!  Breakfast is March 9, and we will be doing a lock-in at the church Friday night in order to be up and prepared for serving breakfast early on Saturday morning.  This will be a fundraising opportunity for the troop, as well as your individual scout accounts.

Since we have quite a few lock-in's coming up with the troop/crew a campout was chosen for the ILST (Introduction to leadership skills for troops) training.

Summer Camp 2019 @ Camp Tahosa

The youth of Troop 130 have spoken and we will be headed to the beautiful Camp Tahose High Adventure Base for summer camp 2019, and registration for the troop is now open.  A deposit is due ASAP to hold your spot at summer camp.

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT @ Big Horn) is an exciting, action-packed program designed for councils to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home units and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.

Pack 48 Blue and Gold / Crossover - 23 Feb 2019

It's Crossover time! Pack 48 is holding their Blue & Gold and Crossover on February 23, 2019, from 4:00-8pm and they have a few scouts that are super excited to be joining Troop 130! We want to welcome them in style! We need a few scouts (3-5) to attend to greet our new members as they leave Cubs behind. Food will be available. Crossover will be at the First United Methodist Church in Golden.
