Boy Scout Troop 130 is a committed group of Scouts and Scouters, boy-led and organized to maximize the scouting experience with a solid, well-rounded program of outdoor adventures, Scouting advancement, and community service. The unit was formed in January 1958 and has been going strong for over 50 years. We've produced over 100 Eagle Scouts, with many more travling the Scouting Trail.

Troop 130 is an active troop, with many fun activities happening every month. From camping in the Rockies to hanging U.S. flags on national holidays, from canoeing the Colorado River to helping in our neighborhood food bank, from hiking Philmont to participating in Easter Sunrise at Red Rocks - our troop stays active in the scouting program and in our community.

Fall Court of Honor at Odom Farm

Join us at the Odom Farm (Located at 11490 W 38th Ave, Wheat Ridge CO) on August 29th for our 2016 Fall Court of Honor. This will be a dinner time event, with pulled pork as the main course. Be on the lookout for an email assigning categories to bring. If you missed shakes down this year and haven't been to the Odom Farm, are you in for a treat! Actually, if you made shakedow, you're also in for a treat!

Shooting Sports Weekend - September 23-25

Do you love the smell of gun powder in the morning? Does the rumbling crackle of a roaring campfire bring comfort in the night? Does your mouth long for the sweet dance a cobbler does on your tongue. Are you filled with pride as you see all you and your fellow scouts can accomplish as you push your limits and experiences as individuals and a troop?

Thomas the Tank Engine - Parking Fundraiser Opportunity

The Colorado Railroad Museum ( has offered us an opportunity to earn funds for Jamboree 2017. During September, the Museum hosts the special event "Day Out With Thomas" which features the fabled steam engine Thomas the Tank Engine. This event is so popular, especially with youngsters, that overflow parking, remote from the main Museum is required.

Buffalo Bills Day's Parade - July 30, 2016

We are good to go for the Buffalo Bill Days Parade on Saturday!

The parade starts at 10am and everyone needs to assemble at 9:45 by the City Hall North Entrance (10th & Arapahoe).

Buffalo Bill Days - Trash Clean Up - Saturday, July 30, 2016

I need your help. On Saturday July 30th we have agreed to do the trash pickup for the Buffalo Bill Days festivities in Golden. It’s a terrific fund raiser for the troop and the boys receive community service hours. Because of the crowds expected, each boy or group of boys need an adult for accompaniment.

Rafting Trip - July 22-24

come join us for a weekend of fun, centered around a great day of rafting down Clear Creek. We will leave Friday, July 22 from FUMC and head up to columbine campground in Central city for the night. In the morning, after breakfast, we shuttle down to Idaho Springs for rafting. The evening ends with dinner and a campfire. We return Sunday at 10:00-10:30 to FUMC.
